The German duo Mario Sixtus and Wolfgang Kremer formed Tilt! at the end of the 1980’s. Their first album Aliens & Orgasms was released in 1990. It featured a cover version of Running Up That Hill, which was also released as a single. It was followed in 1993 by the album The Next Degeneration, and in 1995 by the album I Put A Smell On You (Trivial Songs For Trivial Moments). Also in 1995 they released an EP called A Tribute To The Pogues, which included the band’s versions of ‘Dirty Old Town’ and ‘Fairytale Of New York’. By the turn of the century, Titl! had disbanded.
