Born in Dublin, Lucy O’Byrne was singing before she could walk or talk with her family and community groups like Song and Dance Stage School in Baldoyle, North County Dublin. At twenty, she began training classically under Irish Soprano Kathryn Smith. Thus started a passion for singing and learning to sing opera she never knew existed.

She left her home in Dublin to pursue a career as a performer in the bright lights of the West End. In January 2015 she appeared in the televised talent show ‘The Voice UK’. She ultimately became runner-up of the competition. Along the way, she and coach will.i.am created many memorable performances.

In 2016 she released the album ‘Debut’, which included songs from various operas as well as cover versions of songs by Enya and Kate Bush’s The Man With The Child In His Eyes.
