Born in Duisburg (Germany) in 1968, Anja Lerch learned to play the piano, violin, guitar and recorder during her childhood. She started to sing before she could speak. At the age of eleven she became aware she wanted to become a singer. From the age of 17 she takes part in the competition ‘Jugend jazzt’ (‘Youth jazz’). She achieves second place out of 70 participants. This is followed by live performances in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Holland, France and Russia; She sings Rock & Blues in clubs, halls and open air festivals.

After 5 years studying jazz vocals in Arnhem (Netherlands), she works as a singer and speaker in studio productions for commercials and jingles and teaches singing privately and at music schols.

Together with Frank Sichmann she records and releases the album ‘Lieblingssongs’ in 2008, featuring cover versions of a.o. the Moody Blues’ ‘Nights In White Satin’, The Police’s ‘Message In A Bottle’ and The Man With The Child In His Eyes.

In 2017, Anja Lerch releases the album ‘Hommage’, with songs both in German and in English.
