Born in 1960, Linzi Hunter started singing in a band at age 14. Two years later she performed in an all girl cabaret show called ‘Rock Follies’. This led to some good work offers including tours with Sweet Sensation, George McCrae, Racey, Hot Chocolate and other 70’s artists.

She formed her own rock band, which was spotted by the Rolling Stones’ Bill Wyman. He managed the band for while and they performed at the Royal Albert Hall alongside Phil Collins, Chris Rea and Terence Trent D’arby.

As an admirer of Kate Bush, she appeared in the May 14, 1994 episode of the UK TV show Stars In Their Eyes, singing Wuthering Heights.

In 2004 she started teaching at Middlesbrough college in performing arts. In 2009 Linzi was featured as a vocal coach on X Factor with a student.

Linzi also fronts the functions band Casual Sax, which performs regularly in the north east of England.
