Giblin, John

Born on 26 February 1952. In the 1970´s he made a name for himself as a session musician, working with various artists including Steve Harley and Peter Gabriel. He first worked with Kate when Peter Gabriel recorded No Self Control with her. He went on to play bass on Kate's songs 50 Words For Snow, And So Is Love, An Architect's Dream, Babooshka, Breathing, Constellation Of The Heart, Deeper Understanding, Eat The Music, Lily, Love And Anger, The Red Shoes, Rocket's Tail, Rubberband Girl, Snowed In At Wheeler Street, The Song Of Solomon, Sunset, Top Of The City, Wild Man and You're The One. He also played bass during the Before The Dawn concerts and appears on the Before The Dawn album.

While best known as a studio musician, recording film scores and contemporary music, Giblin has also performed live, playing with Peter Gabriel, John Martyn, Elkie Brooks, Annie Lennox, Phil Collins and the Simple Minds.

In February 2016 he was declared bankrupt as a result of a tax debt.
