Broke City

Broke City was formed in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) by Joel Pack, Rob Moffitt and Ryan Sanders. They toured throughout the USA and canada with bands like 30 Seconds to Mars, Thrice, and The Used.

In 2009 they released the EP 'No Thanks For The Ride'. Before this, they recorded several tracks, which were released on the Bandcamp digital platform. One of these tracks was a cover version of Running Up That Hill.

They went on hiatus in 2013, but released 'Just For Kicks' as an EP in 2014. Although their third album, 'The Answer' was almost silenced due to Warner Bros. absorption of Maverick Records, Broke City persevered, and released it independently to the praise of a following who related to the emotionally fueled record.
